How to Travel to Italy With Kids

Your friends and family may think you are crazy to even consider bringing your whole family on a European vacation, but it just takes a little planning to learn how to travel to Italy with kids and enjoy it! The lifetime of memories you will be making with your children will be worth any bumps in the road. Here are some tips to get you started:

There are quite a few popular attractions that the kids will insist on visiting while in Italy. First of all, there is Bomarzo Monster Park, it's a 16th century park with an odd assortment of grotesque mythical statues in Northern Lazio, north of Rome. Secondly, you can visit Pinocchio Park, a great place to take children when traveling in Italy. Pinocchio Park is in northern Tuscany in the village of Collodi, birthplace of the author of the Pinocchio story. Last, there is Gardaland, Italy's largest amusement park with rollercoasters, themed attractions and water rides for the whole family.

Travel to Turin Italy

The historic city of Turin is in the northwest part of Italy. Snow-capped mountains surround it and the Pro River runs close by. Not known for tourism, the city of Turin is shedding that image--thanks in part to the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Have you heard about the Mole Antonelliana? It's the most recognizable tourist attraction in all of Turin. The Mole Antonelliana is a huge domes building with religious importance. The Shroud of Turin, which wrapped the body of Jesus Christ after his barbaric crucifixion, is a famous artifact here.

3 Key Elements of Slow Travel - The New Way to Tour Italy

Slow travel is the new way to travel the world. It gives you the opportunity to become part of the local life, connect to a place, its people and its culture.

Movie sensations like Under the Tuscan Sun and books like Eat, Pray, Love have sparked the new desire to experience the culture of a place and really get the sense of what life is about, whether you are visiting the Tuscan country side, or the small village on Spanish coast.

The Delights of Italy

Italy's development and history is as colourful and varied as its cuisine. Over time, Italy has made significant contributions to the cultural and social development of the entire Mediterranean area.

Italy is located in southern Europe and comprises the long, boot-shaped Italian Peninsula, the land between the peninsula and the Alps, and a number of islands including Sicily and Sardinia.

Florence, a Renaissance city in the heart of Tuscany, is home to some of the country's best museums, cathedrals and churches, and therefore perfect for a luxury holiday.

Top of the to-do list is the Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio. The Piazza della Signoria is Florence's most famous square, having served as the city's political and cultural centre since the Middle Ages. It also houses a free open-air sculpture exhibit.
